Title of Position:  Executive, shanghai Operation Intermodal

Department or Business Unit: Country Cluster Operations, East China

Reports to: Walter Sun, Senior Manager of Shanghai Operations Intermodal team

Overtime Eligible: Yes

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

• Distribute work orders for ML/SCL/MCC’s intermodal activities, from Shanghai to YTZ and costal ports.
• The daily execution of this position can affect the intermodal unit cost to a great extend
• The daily execution of this position also contributes to the on-time delivery of shipments

• Handle inbound barge service delivery to Yangtze River ports as well as outbound barge service ex Taicang;
• Back-up of rail service delivery in/out Chengdu;
• Handle PO/GR for ordered service in line with global guideline;
• Handle required SCL & MCC intermodal tasks;
• Work with
• delivery of barge intermodal product;
• Check and intermodal manager on sop establishment;
• Ensure on-time arrange payment for ordered intermodal service;
• Support new intermodal system implementation according to PRE schedule;
• Monitor suppliers’ performance periodically on ordered service;
• Submit inbound manifest together with required information by Shanghai Customs House;
• Coordinate on COV/COD/DIT/Holding request;
• Work with transhipment agency to handle special case like leaking, stripping/stuffing, equipment exchange for damaged container;

• Good understanding on policies of harbour authorities and the Customs House;
• Local experience, especially on barge;
• Good commercial awareness;
• Result-oriented self-starter with initiative and strong execution

• University degree or its equivalent
• Good communication and interaction skills
• Analysis skills

• Develop the general knowledge of liner operation process;
• Specialize in intermodal transhipment management;
• Simplifying process to make our operation more transparent and efficient;
